Born on September 28, 1972, in Los Angeles, California, Gwyneth Kate Paltrow began her acting career in 1991 in the film Shout. Later that year Paltrow was cast as Wendy in the movie Hook, she then took on a number of roles including Cruel Doubt, Malice, Flesh and Bone, Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle and Jefferson in Paris. Paltrow got her break in the film Se7en, she was then in the film Emma, Sliding Doors, Great Expectations and A Perfect Murder. In 1998 Paltrow was cast in her Academy Award winning role in Shakespeare in Love, Paltrow followed this success with The Talented Mr. Ripley, Duets, Shallow Hal, Possession, Sylvia, The Royal Tenenbaums and View from the Top and most recently in the films Infamous, Running with Scissors, The Good Night, Dirty Tricks and Iron Man.
